The Council Tree prefers to stay dry. When the soil feels mostly dry to the touch, you can soak your ficus. Be careful not to let your ficus sit in water as this will cause root rot.

Fertilize your Council Tree once a month during spring and summer using a liquid fertilizer diluted by half. Do not fertilize during winter.
